What's Inside - A Week-by-Week Framework
Week One: Stabilize Emotionally
Many patients experience relief, fear, anger, and confusion simultaneously. Before trying to solve every medical question, identify one safe person you can reach out to when things feel overwhelming.
Week Two: Understand Your Symptoms
Lyme symptoms often move and shift in ways that don't behave like conventional illness. Includes a symptom tracker to help you notice patterns over time.
Week Three: Prepare for Medical Appointments
Medical appointments are often short. This section helps you identify your most disruptive symptoms, organize your questions, and communicate clearly with providers.
Week Four: Protect Your Energy
Energy works differently during illness. Learn how to approach energy more intentionally — pacing activities, limiting research windows, and saying no when your body needs rest.
This guide is educational and reflects lived experience. It is not medical advice and does not replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

About Samantha
Hi! My name is Samantha.
When I became ill with Lyme disease as a teenager, my diagnosis was dismissed by physicians. What followed were years of escalating symptoms, conflicting medical opinions, and prolonged misdiagnosis — eventually leaving me wheelchair-bound and bedridden.
During that time, I saw nearly 100 physicians and spent extended periods in hospitals while searching for answers and relief. I missed nearly all of high school. At one point, doctors told me I might never walk again.
Those years taught me that Lyme disease is not only a medical challenge — it is also logistical, emotional, and deeply isolating.
The hardest part was not just the illness itself, but trying to navigate the medical system while my life felt like it had been suddenly turned upside down.
Today, I serve on the Global Lyme Alliance NextGen Board and work privately with individuals and families navigating complex tick-borne illness through My Lyme Coach.
My role is not to practice medicine or replace medical care. Instead, I help patients think clearly, ask better questions, and navigate the healthcare system with greater confidence.
This guide reflects the structure I wish someone had handed me during the first 30 days of my illness.
